Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple large-scale procurement projects simultaneously in a technology setting
Requirements:
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or VITA certified Project Management certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management
  • Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and practices including proficiency with Microsoft Project software
  • Experience in leading a team through successful completion of the project phases: Preselect, Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Control and Closeout
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agile Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with VITA's Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and ECOS/COVRamp process
  • Experience with the core Commonwealth IT procurement processes (RFP, VITA Statewide Contract, and CAI SOW)
Skills:
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience managing large-scale projects involving technology procurement
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles
  • Balance business/technical background with sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to technology teams
