Software Functional Manager 2

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software using software engineering best practices and standards.
  • Partner with software, system, and test engineers to ensure a testable product is being developed.
  • Design and implement software solutions to increase product reliability and test coverage.
  • Make recommendations for design and process improvements.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of software products.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Task and coordinate a team of approximately 12-15 engineers.
  • Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results and provide direction to resolve priorities.
  • Make decisions that impact the organization's credibility, operations, and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 9 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 7 years of related experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with all phases of the software development process.
  • At least 5 years of experience in C/C++ or other OOP languages.
  • Current active Secret DoD Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working in a DevOps culture.
