Job Overview

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine is seeking highly qualified Postdoctoral Scholars to join our research team. As a Postdoctoral Scholar, you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of a faculty mentor and contribute to the academic community by enhancing the research and education program of the University.

Research Opportunities

We are anticipating openings in the following divisions and programs: Allergy/Immunology, Adolescent Medicine, Cardiology, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Genetics/Metabolic Disorders, General Pediatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonary, Surgery, and Urology. As a Postdoctoral Scholar, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in one of these areas and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in your field.

Responsibilities

As a Postdoctoral Scholar, you will be responsible for conducting research under the guidance of a faculty mentor, contributing to the academic community, and enhancing the research and education program of the University. You will also be expected to participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of research proposals and publications.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment and have a strong background in a related field. You must also have a strong record of research experience and a commitment to inclusive excellence.
