Safety Manager

MTM Transit is seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as safety management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the transit industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA and DOT requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
