Parkhaven Retirement Community is Seeking a Dedicated Dietary Manager

We are looking for an experienced and committed professional to oversee the nutritional well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and is passionate about serving the elderly community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement weekly menus that adhere to dietitian's guidelines, ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met.
  • Special Diets and Accommodations: Implement special diets as needed, taking into account individual resident requirements and preferences.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Inventory Management and Procurement: Order, receive, and store food and supplies, managing inventory and adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Culinary Operations and Safety: Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, adhering to state and local dietary safety standards.
  • Collaboration and Event Planning: Work with the Activity Department to plan and execute special events and meal planning for residents, promoting a sense of community and socialization.
  • Communication and Reporting: Hold regular kitchen staff meetings and contribute to the All-Staff meeting, providing updates on kitchen-related information and initiatives.
