Overview

As an integral part of the Revenue Cycle team at University Hospitals, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless patient registration and billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient insurance plans using electronic eligibility tools, phone calls to payers, and web portals.
  • Accurately calculate and collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and prior balances due.
  • Effectively communicate with patients regarding charges and out-of-pocket liabilities, establishing payment plans when necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in wayfinding initiatives to enhance the patient experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and contribute to enterprise special projects.

Requirements:

  • High School Equivalent or GED (Required)
  • 1+ year of healthcare or customer service experience (Required)
  • Dependable and willing to work in a 24/7/365 department, with flexibility for travel to other sites and locations.

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
