Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team at SWRI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop aerospace systems, including hardware and software components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on system design and development
  • Work with engineers and leads to translate requirements into operational designs and validate those designs through simulation and test activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree
  • 2-8 years of experience developing, deriving, allocating, and testing complex avionics requirements
  • Experience implementing RTOS's (Green Hills, VxWorks preferred)
  • Experience in embedded development of typical avionic buses (PCIe, 429, ethernet, 1553, etc)
  • Experience with integrating hardware and debugging within a lab environment
