Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on management to the Platform Engineering team, ensuring the successful development and implementation of design processes.
  • Guide teams from product concept through validation and into manufacturing, leveraging expertise in semiconductor design and development.
  • Ensure high-quality output by implementing design process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Meet or exceed division goals by effectively managing staff, resources, and projects.
  • Participate in brainstorming and design reviews, maintaining standards of excellence in all product development processes.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues and ensure that all direct reports are properly accounted for in project plans.
  • Support and mentor less-experienced employees, driving change and growth within the team.
  • Manage large product development projects, preparing project plans, and communicating assignments to team members.
  • Ensure that all work satisfies the requirements of the company's phase gate, with a focus on design quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; other advanced degrees considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of product design and development experience required.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge in multiple technical areas, with a depth of knowledge in one or more semiconductor areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully bring products from concept to market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to recruit and retain high-caliber staff, with a focus on professional and personal mentoring.
  • Expert-level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility, persistence, resourcefulness, collaborative, and driven to succeed.
  • Experience/knowledge of CAD tools.
