Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Space Coast Surgery Center. As a RN - Recovery / OR Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a same-day surgery setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision of nursing care to patients in a same-day surgery setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for post-operative patients, taking into account their unique needs and medical requirements.
- Monitor and control the use of supplies, ensuring accurate charging and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competence and stay up-to-date with best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
Physical Demands:

- Lifting: 0-50lbs. as needed.
- Carrying: 0-25lbs. as needed.
- Pushing: 0-400lbs. on wheels with assistance as needed.

- Bending: Proper bending necessary to pick things off the floor.
