Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly close procedures for designated properties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate revenue and JIB calculations, with a focus on revenue analysis and forecasting.
  • Review and post monthly journal entries, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prepare and inspect monthly accruals for revenue, expenses, and capital outlays, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of all completed journals, documentation, and reviews, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Analyze and authenticate reconciled balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supervise accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and JIB accounting, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Administer sales and use tax filings, staying up-to-date with changing regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audit inquiries, providing clear and concise information.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to your team, offering support and development opportunities.
  • Manage additional operational accounting duties related to oil and gas, including financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or oil and gas.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with 1-2 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with experience with ERP systems such as SAP being advantageous.
  • Effective and articulate communicator capable of engaging with various management levels, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Skilled at handling multiple complex projects simultaneously, with the ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven individual who takes initiative and enjoys achieving goals, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Deadline-oriented problem solver who can work independently, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority.
