Job Summary

Franklin Investment Services Inc is seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our team. As a Millwright Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by assembling, installing, maintaining, and disassembling vital machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install critical manufacturing machinery, ensuring accurate assemblage to minimize wear and strain on components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and accurately log all maintenance activities.
  • Disassemble machinery and transport it to the appropriate storage location.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient functionality.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade school diploma or vocational certificate in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong math, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Working Conditions
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
  • Working around heavy machinery and mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to some fumes, gases, fluids, and chemicals.
  • Working in a loud environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb on, off, and around equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, turn as needed.
  • Ability to lift items occasionally weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers for various repetitive motions.
  • Ability to verbally communicate.
  • Good eye acuity, depth perception, field of vision (with or without accommodation).
