Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Avcon. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning HVAC systems for various structures, systems, or equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan HVAC systems to meet client requirements
  • Collaborate with design teams to complete projects
  • Prepare project documentation, including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates
  • Evaluate and select standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for project assignments
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work
  • Assist in the preparation of project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules
  • Interact and collaborate with clients, officials, contractors, and other project team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Knowledge of HVAC engineering and design, and familiarity with applicable Codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices
  • Experience with plumbing and fire protection a plus
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, piping design, and equipment selections
