The compensation for the selected candidate will be determined based on various factors, including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Director of Exam Accommodations and in accordance with ADA, Section 504, and Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, this role oversees exam accommodations for qualified students with disabilities. Responsibilities include managing test administration, proctoring services, note-taking services, and other academic accommodations. The Coordinator is tasked with ensuring compliance and maintaining the integrity of student and testing program standards.

Work Schedule:

This position requires onsite presence with a work schedule that includes:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 1 pm - 9 pm
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 1 pm - 10 pm
  • Friday: 12 noon - 6 pm

During non-class periods, the schedule shifts to Monday - Friday: 10 am - 6 pm.

Key Responsibilities

The Coordinator will:

  • Oversee all aspects of exam administration, including scheduling exams with students and faculty, reserving rooms, coordinating proctor schedules, and notifying professors about testing accommodations.
  • Ensure a secure testing environment and address any issues that arise during exam administration while upholding academic integrity.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise casual staff such as note-takers, scribes, exam proctors, and sign-language interpreters, managing approximately 175 part-time employees each semester.
  • Provide functional supervision, mentoring, and training for the Assistant Manager of Exam Accommodations.
  • Collaborate with faculty and university partners to facilitate effective accommodations for students with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including case notes and documentation related to accommodations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of accommodations and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Compile reports and analyze data regarding accommodations, ensuring effective coordination and oversight of all related processes.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Specific experience in postsecondary academic accommodations and auxiliary services is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a testing center within higher education or similar environments is strongly preferred, along with professional experience working with students with disabilities in educational settings.
