We are seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Geisinger. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will provide direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers in the outpatient setting.

About the Job:

This role is responsible for preparing patients, collecting and reviewing pertinent information, performing technical duties, documenting using the electronic medical record, and supporting a safe environment for patients. You will also provide administrative and clerical support for the clinic/department, including patient scheduling, filing reports, and following up on documentation, phone calls, and billing inquiries.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtains and documents patient reason for visit, weight, vital signs, visit screening information, medication review, and pertinent information for provider using rooming tool in electronic medical record.
  • Sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases.
  • Assists patient as needed to prepare for visit with provider, takes appropriate measures to assure patient's safety and privacy.

You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care. The estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$60,000 per year.
