Position Overview:

The Assistant Commercial Lines Account Executive role is integral to the effective management and servicing of designated Commercial Lines accounts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Account Executive on account renewals as necessary.
  • Meeting agency retention objectives through proactive account management, including up-selling of coverage limits and providing outstanding client support.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between carrier representatives, clients, and internal support teams to guarantee timely and comprehensive information flow, facilitating successful sales outcomes.

Engage with clients through various communication channels, including written correspondence, email, face-to-face meetings, and phone calls.

Participate in and advocate for pre and post-placement services, including proof of insurance, loss control, premium financing, and claims management.

Handle daily assignments, including ad-hoc requests and renewals, ensuring all client interactions and transactions are meticulously documented according to established procedures.

Oversee essential processes and internal functions that enable the delivery of client-facing requirements.

Collaborate with Senior Commercial Lines Account Managers on complex matters to enhance expertise in account management.

Provide backup support for team members during absences and assist in balancing team workloads.

New Business and Renewal Management:

Respond to inquiries for quotes and changes to existing policies, ensuring timely completion of requests.

Prepare and update applications and submissions for insurance carriers, negotiating optimal terms and conditions for clients.

Review current accounts to identify additional insurance lines to recommend prior to renewal.

Document all significant conversations with clients and carriers regarding coverage and exposures.

Deliver binders and policies for assigned accounts promptly, including a Summary of Insurance.

Conduct regular service calls to maintain relationships with assigned accounts.

Assist in preparing midyear reviews with clients and producers.

Review all terminations and cancellations, taking appropriate action within a specified timeframe.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Valid state license(s).
  • Comprehensive understanding of brokerage operations, including claims handling and commercial lines rating.
  • Proficient in electronic environments with strong skills in various software applications.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • High self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of CISR or ACSR designation; enrollment in INS or API programs is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of diverse insurance lines, particularly specialized coverages offered through the agency.
