Job Summary

The Director of Lifelong Faith Formation is a key role within the Archdiocese of Chicago, responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive formation initiatives that foster spiritual growth and development among parishioners of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lifelong faith formation initiatives that promote spiritual growth and evangelization.
  • Lead the Religious Education program, overseeing the Order of Christian Initiation and Sacramental Preparation for all ages.
  • Collaborate with the Parish Evangelization Lead and Evangelization Team to build a culture of radical hospitality and evangelization.
  • Direct and support catechists and volunteers in lesson plan development, ensuring programs align with Church teachings and Archdiocese of Chicago policies.
  • Supervise volunteers to ensure compliance with Protecting God's Children guidelines and Archdiocese of Chicago policies.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in faith formation programs.
  • Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values.
  • Comprehensive vision and understanding of evangelization.
  • Knowledgeable in related Church documents, especially national and local.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technology used for communicating and presenting.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, faithful, and joyful witness.
