Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all Area Project Managers, ensuring the effective execution of construction and maintenance tasks for various structures and facilities. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and strategic oversight for all construction activities, focusing on budget management, scheduling, and project implementation. Upholding quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction are critical components of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement the Owner contract, project plans, addenda, and specifications.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and organizing equipment.
- Draft contracts and negotiate modifications and additions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Develop project schedules in a logical sequence and allocate time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Manage monthly billing processes for each project.
- Review and approve all project submittals.
- Oversee the procurement process and secure materials for projects.
- Engage in fieldwork as necessary and feasible.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Showcase abilities in achieving results, effective communication, collaboration, and relationship building.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising construction projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with customer service principles and processes.
- Keep the project team informed of any changes.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and perform demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying heavy items, up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Must be prepared to work in various weather conditions.
