Job Title: Transmission Operations Supervisor

The Transmission Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution and transmission systems. This role involves supervising employees, planning and scheduling new construction work, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise employees in the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution and transmission systems.
  • Plan and schedule new construction work, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training activities.
  • Ensure that construction and maintenance are completed in accordance with construction standards, following approved policies, procedures, safety rules, and budgets.
  • Interact with customers (internal & external) to solve problems/concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate department activities with local and state highway departmental officials.
  • Supervise emergency restoration.
  • Coordinate safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of line work and construction.
  • Knowledge of line electric theory, switching, tagging, labor agreement, safety manual, procedures, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • May require various DOT Operator Qualifications.
