Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team at SSM Health. As a Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Performs as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team.
  • Ensures patients are correctly prepped for procedures and that necessary information is timely.
  • Administers medications to patients, including critically ill patients, and reports abnormal information to physicians in a timely manner.
  • Performs hemostasis safely and properly with or without vascular devices.
  • Routinely enters patient orders and charges, ensuring accuracy.
  • Provides care to critically ill patients, working independently in stressful situations.
  • Educates patients and families based on assessed needs, documents education provided, and keeps them informed of tests and treatments.
  • Assists families to the cardiology area or Cath lab area by escorting when necessary.
  • May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required.
