Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engineering calculations and load calculations to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements
  • Select and design electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems
  • Utilize AutoCAD MEP and Revit to create detailed drawings and specifications
  • Review local and national codes and perform code analyses to ensure compliance
  • Design life safety systems, including fire alarm systems
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects, including budgeting and scheduling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for building systems
  • Experience utilizing AutoCAD MEP and Revit
  • Experience with load calculations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
