About the Role

Therapist Jobs is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Team Leader to join our team in Texas. This leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our therapy department, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and guiding occupational therapists and therapy assistants to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient treatment delivery.
  • Maintaining effective communication with hospital departments and staff to address patient needs and concerns.
  • Assisting with staffing, scheduling, and training programs to optimize departmental productivity.
  • Conducting regular evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A current state license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
  • CPR certification (unless otherwise required by hospital policy).
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited therapy program (a Master's or Doctorate's degree in a professional or management area is preferred).
  • At least three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with no less than two years being clinical.
  • Active participation on the Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certification.
Work Environment
