About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Cadre. As a key member of our data science and machine learning team, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and experimenting on custom predictive and statistical models in exciting fields surrounding learning assessment, text and language understanding, behavior classification, and user analytics & privacy.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data & ML engineers, software developers, and product managers to unlock important user insights and preserve quality and privacy within our core product features. Your responsibilities will include working with company stakeholders to deeply understand business & product problems related to educational data, analytics, and predictive modeling, identifying and preparing relevant structured & unstructured datasets for analysis and experimentation, and developing new technical capabilities for data acquisition, exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and modeling.

We offer a competitive salary of $180,000 per year, unlimited PTO and a flexible work schedule, a learning & development stipend, and more. Key Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • A strong foundation in mathematics, statistical methods, and machine learning
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python and R, as well as important frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Strong problem-solving skills across complex data-heavy domains, with a knack for critical and creative thinking
