About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part Time Sales Associate. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Build relationships with customers by actively listening to their needs and providing personalized recommendations.
    • Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Merchandising and Visual Presentation
    • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions.
    • Merchandise products in a visually appealing and organized manner, ensuring that displays are safe and in working order.
    • Identify and communicate issues with quality, quantity, and additional needs to management and other team members.
  • Clean and Safe Stores
    • Ensure that the sales floor and surrounding areas are clean and safe for customers and employees.
    • Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and move plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor.
    • Repair or replace damaged packaging and boxes, including peg-hook items.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Operate store equipment as needed, including Zebra phones, telephones, and other devices.
    • Assist with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • 6 months of live nursery experience or Lowe's sales floor experience preferred.
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
      • Ability to work overnight and weekends.
      • Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks.
