We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessing and coordinating patient care plans, and implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record patient condition, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data.
- Implement and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve patient care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin required.
- At least 18 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Stroke certification.
- Experience working in a unionized hospital environment.
