Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a NICU Travel Nurse, you will provide critical care to sick and premature infants, working closely with the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life, monitoring their vital signs and initiating corrective action when necessary.
- Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings, as well as change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Administer arterial and intravenous therapy, and monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to provide emotional support to parents, advising them on the proper care of their infant when they return home.
- BLS and NRP certifications
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift 10-20 pounds of equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
