Job Title: Project Manager

We are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager to join our team at Pacific Shipyards International. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of commercial and military ship repair contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage ship repair contracts to ensure schedule and cost are met
  • Supervise project management staff
  • Coordinate changes to contract to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Interface with vessel's stakeholders on day-to-day matters
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum requirement of 10 years of ship repair or marine industry experience
  • Minimum requirement of 5 years of project management experience
  • PMP certification desirable
  • Knowledge of managing federal contracts
  • Knowledge of shipboard tag-out procedures and government Work Authorization (WAF) controls
  • Previous experience or training in work sequencing and scheduling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project or similar scheduling software
Additional Requirements:
  • Must show proof of legal right to work in the United States and US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base access
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must be able to obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
  • All candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening and background check before employment begins.
  • Valid State of Hawaii drivers' license in good standing, class 3 or higher
  • Candidates must have access to reliable transportation to get to work and other job sites on time for the start of shift
  • Must be flexible in work hours
