Job Title: Senior Mold Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mold Maker to join our Tool Room team in Tennessee. As a Senior Mold Maker, you will be responsible for designing, building, fine-tuning, and repairing injection molds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret customer-supplied parts, drawings, and computer files to create high-quality injection molds.
  • Design and build molds using various materials, including metals and plastics.
  • Fine-tune molds based on feedback from the molding department to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair molds as needed to maintain production efficiency.
  • Conduct complicated mold maintenance tasks to ensure molds are in good working condition.
  • Keep machine centers and personal tools orderly to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Notify the manager or project manager of any materials or tools required for mold production.
  • Participate in corrective and preventive action reviews to assist production in troubleshooting.
  • Train mold maker apprentices in fundamental tool and mold making practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 years of injection molding tooling experience (layout and build).
  • Computer literate/CAD literate.
  • Qualified on all tool room equipment.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to quality, productivity, and team performance in the workplace.
  • Good teamwork, organization, and communication skills.
  • Full 3D mold design capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of three-axis CNC programming.
Work Environment:

As a Senior Mold Maker, you will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. You may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection.
