Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Bakery Manager in the preparation, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising of all bakery items.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure that all bakery products are well-prepared, packaged, and displayed, while maintaining cleanliness in the bakery area.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery environment, including regular cleaning of shelves, products, and floors, and removing any hazardous materials.
  • Manage stock levels, ensuring accurate pricing and rotation of bakery products, while discarding any outdated or spoiled items.
  • Receive and inspect products for accuracy, temperature, and quality upon delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of bakery experience preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor, with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
  • Good communication abilities and the capacity to follow directions while working as part of a team.
  • Capable of answering phones and taking special orders.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties within the department, ensuring a clean and sanitized work area.
  • Proficient in using various bakery equipment and tools, including knives, scales, and packaging machines, while accurately weighing and labeling products.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
