Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Bakery Manager in the preparation, baking, packaging, pricing, and display of all baked goods.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring that all bakery items are prepared, packaged, and presented with care, while maintaining cleanliness in the bakery area.
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the bakery, including cleaning equipment, shelves, and floors, while removing any hazardous materials.
  • Manage stock levels, ensuring accurate pricing and proper rotation of bakery products, discarding any outdated or spoiled items.
  • Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of bakery experience preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
  • Good communication abilities and a willingness to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Capable of answering phones and taking special orders.
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation of the department, including work areas.
  • Proficient in using bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and hand trucks, with an understanding of weight measures for accurate product labeling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as required, adhering to safety and health regulations.
