Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Administrative Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Whittier Health Network.

About the Role

This part-time position, 20 hours/week, Monday through Friday, offers a competitive base pay of $16 - $20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various duties within our rehabilitation services division, including:

  • Providing secretarial support to our Director of Rehabilitation Services and rehabilitation staff as needed.
  • Implementing and maintaining personnel records and payroll calculations for our rehabilitation services division staff.
  • Assisting with medical record keeping, including admission/discharge coordination.
  • Processing doctors' orders for our rehabilitation services division.
  • Maintaining/balancing petty cash for our rehabilitation services division.
  • Handling general telephone responsibilities.
  • Ordering, maintaining inventory, stocking, and pricing all rehabilitation equipment.
  • Taking meeting minutes for IP Rehab meetings and hospital-wide task forces.
  • Assisting with new employee orientation, including establishing employee files and other internal reports.
  • Maintaining licensing, CPR records, and reports.
  • Reviewing and revising policy manuals and guidelines.
  • Maintaining an efficient working environment, including functional operation of copiers, printers, and PCs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secretarial/medical records training.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple systems.
  • Intermediate experience with personal computers and common software packages.
  • Ability to interact with professional/medical staff, patients/families, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
  • Knowledge, experience, and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, coordinating multiple tasks.
