About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at GXO Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising transportation activities to ensure seamless delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between Transportation, Operations, carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues.
  • Lead and supervise transportation staff, including training and evaluating employee performance to ensure high standards are met.
  • Recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Perform routing, planning, updating, and tracking duties of orders and shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Complete analysis and resolution of carrier performance and compliance issues to maintain high-quality service.
  • Track and trace shipments for customers to ensure on-time, accurate, and satisfactory deliveries, providing updates as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve issues submitted by customers, carriers, and/or clients, providing follow-up and reporting as required.
  • Correctly maintain and generate required reports, properly process, audit, and file various documentation.
Requirements
  • 2 years of transportation or supply chain experience, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications, with the ability to create complex formulas in Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics, transportation, or business administration.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience effectively supervising, coaching, and influencing employees.
