Senior Tax Consultant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to deliver cutting-edge tax solutions, encompassing planning, research, compliance, and various mergers and acquisitions activities.
  • Take full ownership of client relationships, serving as the primary contact for all client needs.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful execution of multiple engagements across corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
  • Provide effective representation for clients facing federal or state examinations, demonstrating strong writing capabilities in addressing tax notices.
  • Work in close partnership with senior professionals on client management, professional growth, and business development initiatives.
  • Supervise team operations, ensuring chargeability and budget adherence.
  • Maintain accountability for outstanding accounts receivable and actively participate in the collections process.
  • Enhance the technical and industry expertise of the team while mentoring their professional development.
  • Engage in practice development initiatives for the firm.
  • Assist senior partners in preparing engagement budgets, client invoicing, and conducting staff performance evaluations.
  • Review team outputs to ensure compliance with firm processes and quality control standards.
  • Identify and cultivate external business connections through social, charitable, and professional organizations, actively participating in these networking opportunities.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through public speaking, seminar presentations, and article writing.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations, articulating complex topics with confidence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the team on intricate tax matters.
Desired Qualifications:
  • BBA/BS in Accounting.
  • Master's degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation is advantageous.
  • Must possess CPA certification and maintain an active CPA license.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a public accounting environment, with significant focus on corporate and individual tax compliance and consulting.
  • Strong technical expertise in tax preparation, review, compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research.
