Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Professional to join our team. As a Senior Tax Professional, you will be responsible for providing innovative tax services to our clients, including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to provide expert tax advice and guidance on complex tax matters.
  • Manage and drive the success of multiple engagements in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
  • Represent clients before taxing authorities and respond to tax notices and problem resolutions.
  • Work closely with Partners, Managers, and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities.
  • Manage team activities, chargeability, and budgets.
  • Maintain accountability for outstanding accounts receivable and take an active role in collections.
  • Develop team technical and industry skills and mentor career growth.
  • Be involved in practice development efforts of the firm.
  • Assist Partners with preparation of engagement budgets, client billing, and staff performance reviews.
  • Review staff work product and ensure firm processes and quality control procedures are being executed.
  • Identify and pursue outside business contacts through professional organizations and networking channels.
  • Pursue professional development through public speaking opportunities, seminar delivery, and writing articles.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations, and present complex subjects confidently.
  • Engage with team as a subject matter expert on complex tax issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Masters in Taxation degree or LLM in Taxation a plus.
  • Seven or more years of experience at a public accounting firm, with a substantial dedication of time to providing corporate and individual tax compliance and consulting services.
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research.
