Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our team in Whittier, California. As a Punch Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, assembling, and aligning dies in press according to specifications. You will also perform preventative maintenance, read part design drawings, and inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and assemble dies in press according to specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required
  • Read part design drawings and review work order instructions
  • Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications
  • Enter job information into computer system, including time entries, part counts, scrap counts, and comments as necessary
Requirements
  • Hard Skills: preventative maintenance, reading part design drawings, set-up and assembly of dies, operating punch press, inspection of work pieces, in-process inspection, computer data entry
  • Soft Skills: attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, ability to follow instructions
