About the Opportunity

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Network Specialist to join our team in the South Bay Area of California. This is a long-term opportunity with a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, plus quarterly production bonuses and a monthly per diem of $1,500.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Splicing and activation of electronic equipment, including setting up and balancing electronics to specifications.
  • Working within a team environment to ensure the full job scope is completed within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Providing training to new hires, monitoring their progress, and ensuring they meet graduation requirements.
  • Performing daily maintenance on company vehicles, including checking fluids, cleaning, and organizing the vehicle.
  • Safely operating bucket trucks and working at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Completing daily production reports, tracking work hours, and maintaining accurate material usage counts.
  • Continuing education and training to support career advancement.

Requirements:

  • Ability to complete mechanical tasks such as coax splicing, reading meters, conducting tests, and troubleshooting measures.
  • Proficiency in computer-based programs required for electronic equipment activation and verification.
  • Able to work in all-weather climates and varying heights, including ground level, pedestals, and underground vaults.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and perform fine manipulation on cable and electronic equipment.
  • Willingness to work extended periods from a ladder and ability to read and build from blueprints and/or wire diagrams.
  • Demonstrated support for excellent customer service and a professional attitude.
