Patient Transporter

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to facilitate the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items within our hospital. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Properly and safely transport patients, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment as needed.
- Utilize wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to transport patients to their destinations.
- Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all ages and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Ensure the comfort and dignity of patients by providing attentive care and responding to their needs.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
- Previous patient transport experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and patients as needed.
