Flight Paramedic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care.
Key Responsibilities- Complete and submit electronic patient care records within specified time frames.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
- Provide advanced life support care from initial contact to patient care relinquishment.
- Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
- Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Stay knowledgeable about equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Function as a medical flight member.
- Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings, completing necessary documentation.
- Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed.
- Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
- Minimum of three years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting required.
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status. Trauma certification within 12 months of hire required.
- Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
