Job Title: Machinist

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Pacer Staffing. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
  • You will select, mount, and align machine attachments and tooling, plan the sequence of operations, and determine the method of setup to achieve exacting tolerances.
  • Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications is a key part of this role, as well as using precision measuring instruments and making standard shop computations.
  • You will also be responsible for monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate milling machines to perform precision machining operations
  • Select, mount, and align machine attachments and tooling
  • Plan the sequence of operations and determine the method of setup
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments and make standard shop computations
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
