Position:
Chief Security Officer (Armed)


The Chief Security Officer is responsible for leading the Security team in fulfilling the mission of Sight & Sound by serving our guests, visitors, and colleagues while ensuring the safety of our facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
Promote and embody a culture that reflects our mission, values, and commitment to safety.

Provide guidance and inspire a passion for security, fostering a positive work atmosphere through mentoring and training team members, leveraging their individual strengths.

Lead the team in the absence of the Security Manager and execute all responsibilities of the Chief Security Officer with excellence.
Conduct regular one-on-one or group meetings with your team to offer support, encouragement, and accountability.

Understand fundamental security principles and implement them while delivering exceptional customer service to our guests and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with other leaders at Sight & Sound to build strong working relationships, trust, and effective communication across teams.
Stay informed about policy and procedural updates.
Engage in training sessions, both on-site and off-site.
Serve colleagues with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:
Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to assist others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm, rational, and discerning in high-pressure situations.
Detail-oriented and well-organized.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of operating various electronic security systems, including cameras and alarm systems.

Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel occasionally for training.
Possession of PA Act 235 Certification (PA) / MO Guard Card (MO).
Valid Concealed Carry Permit.
Must hold a valid driver's license.

Additional Skills and Requirements:


Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screening and meet annual physical requirements, including a medical examination; possess uncorrected vision of at least 20/70 in one eye and 20/200 in the other; corrected vision of at least 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other; pass a hearing examination (hearing aids permitted); and pass a psychological evaluation by a licensed psychologist.

Must also pass a post-offer physical assessment.

Annual compliance with physical exams, including vision and hearing tests; drug and alcohol screenings; psychological well-being evaluations; and background checks is required.

Employees in this role must maintain current PA ACT 235 certification.
Employees are subject to random drug and alcohol screenings.

Education and Experience:
A minimum of a High School diploma with 3-5 years of armed security experience, or equivalent military or law enforcement background. Customer service training is preferred.

In accordance with federal law, all hires will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
