Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Shelbyville, KY. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using established procedures and protocols.
- Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
- Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
- Enter data accurately and efficiently using a computer.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
- Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, supply ordering, and filing.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
- Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs and complete online and in-person training courses.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
