Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will provide Speech Therapy services to patients in compliance with all applicable practice acts and standards of clinical practice.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' level of functioning and hearing, and recommend mechanisms to enhance their hearing ability.
- Provide initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients' needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments.
- Establish a Speech Therapy treatment plan in consultation with the physician and revise it with the physician's approval as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary client care plan as it pertains to Speech Therapy.
- Communicate with other team members and instruct them in speech pathology techniques as needed.
- Teach, supervise, and counsel patients and their families in the total Speech Therapy program and other related problems.
- Record all evaluation data, treatments, and patients' responses to therapeutic intervention in a timely manner.
- Supervise Home Health Aides as required.
- Record and report patients' reactions to treatment and any changes in their condition to the physician.
- Participate in the development of periodic revisions to the physician's plan of treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program or equivalent education.
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a Speech Therapist.
- Two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
