Recreation Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Leader to join our team at the Greater Vallejo Recreation District (GVRD). As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for leading recreational activities, supervising children, and enforcing safety rules and guidelines.

• Implement and supervise various recreational activities, including sports, crafts, games, and field trips.
• Lead recreational activities, supervise children, and enforce safety rules and guidelines.
• Resolve conflicts among children.
• Monitor activities within a facility and/or outside, and provide information to the public on program activities.
• Respond to parent, school, or community concerns and issues, and direct to higher level staff as necessary.
• Perform first aid as necessary.

• Knowledge of general recreation principles and practices.
• Rules and regulations of age-appropriate recreation activities.
• Basic art and craft techniques, games, and sports.

• Some experience with youth recreation programs or childcare settings.
