Room Attendant
OVERVIEW
The Housekeeping Room Specialist is tasked with executing all daily responsibilities associated with maintaining guest rooms. This position plays a vital role in supporting the organization's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values as an engaged business partner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and organizing guest bedroom and bathroom areas
- Changing linens, making beds, arranging items on tables, tidying furniture, dusting, vacuuming, and disposing of trash
- Providing courteous assistance to guests, including addressing any requests or preferences
- Completing assigned tasks promptly as directed by the Housekeeping leadership team
- Performing additional responsibilities as needed based on business requirements
- Promoting a positive image of the property by maintaining a friendly and upbeat demeanor during guest interactions and being responsive to specific guest needs
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest accommodations
- One (1) year of prior experience in a similar cleaning role
- High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English
While performing the duties of this position, the Housekeeping Room Specialist is required to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk, hear; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, climbing or balancing may be required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical effort is necessary to clean multiple rooms within a shift.
The pay scale for the Room Attendant position is $21.50.
*The pay scale represents the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and similar compensation that Montage reasonably expects to offer for this position.
