Position Overview


Under the general oversight of the physician(s), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and management team, the Medical Assistant will support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care.

This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities.


Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of one of the following:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Completion of a clinical education program (e.g., LPN or RN program) with at least one year of experience.
  • One year of direct patient care experience.
  • Completion of a clinical training program specific to St. Clair Medical Group.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. A solid understanding of medical terminology is essential. Proficiency in operating various office and medical equipment is necessary. Familiarity with personal computers and the Windows operating system is expected.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • One year of experience in performing phlebotomy and EKGs.
