The Facilities Engineer is an integral member of the facilities team responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the San Francisco Art Institute. You will manage your workload independently while also engaging in collaborative teamwork.

You Also Have:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and contractors.
  • Ability to work from ladders and respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of computer network configuration for troubleshooting.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google and MS Office.

As The Facilities Engineer, You Will:
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical equipment, data IT, and surveillance systems.
  • Perform welding on various equipment, including conveyor systems and HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate all Preventive Maintenance functions.
  • Conduct touch-up painting as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection requirements.
  • Maintain lighting standards across locations.
  • Provide material lists for mechanical components.
  • Handle ad hoc responsibilities as required.
