This role is essential in assisting with various construction tasks, including framing carpentry, wall and roof assembly, sheathing application, and metal panel installation. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of construction methodologies, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and uphold high standards of workmanship.
Compensation: $20 to $25/hour, based on experience
Work Schedule: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze blueprints and construction documents
- Assist in the assembly and installation of wooden frameworks for walls and roofs, ensuring all structures are level, plumb, and aligned with specifications
- Support the construction and installation of wall and roof frameworks
- Measure, cut, and secure sheathing materials to framing, applying sheathing to walls and roofs as part of the structural integrity
- Safely handle and position metal panels
- Assist in the installation of metal panels on walls and roofs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in construction or a related industry
- Knowledge of framing carpentry, sheathing, and metal panel installation
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans
- Familiarity with hand and power tools utilized in construction
- Physical endurance and capability to work in diverse weather conditions
