About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Quality Temp Staffing. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens, performing complex tests, and analyzing results.


Responsibilities:
  • Specimen Collection and Processing: Collect and process various types of specimens, including blood, urine, and tissues, for analysis.
  • Test Performance and Result Analysis: Perform complex tests in different lab areas, analyze results, and interpret data to ensure accuracy.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Result Reporting and Collaboration: Report test results to healthcare professionals and collaborate with them to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related field; California Dept. of Public Health (CDPH) License Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS); Chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood gas experience required.
  • Certifications and Training: Proof of Current Continuing Education Units (CEUs); 1-year of experience working in an acute care facility within the past 6 months preferred.
  • Health and Safety: Current CPR Card issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers; Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Reliable source of transportation; Must be able to work at sister facility as well.
