Job Summary:

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This per diem opportunity offers the flexibility to work on a varied schedule, with up to 40 hours per week.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. They will work independently, following laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA, and Joint Commission regulations and guidelines. Test results will be used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Requirements:
  • An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a bachelor's degree in a related field (chemical, physical, or biological science)
  • Eligibility to take the ASCP Board of Review exam for Medical Laboratory Technician
  • MLT-ASCP Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
