Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Direct and supervise the Accounting Department to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies and procedures.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual departmental operating budgets, housing budgets, capital asset budgets, and cash flow budgets.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial forecasts of projected revenue and profit, and analyze budget vs. actual operating results.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist in meeting all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for internal and external users, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Tax and Audit: Assist in directing and overseeing the preparation of personal property, sales and use, and real estate tax returns, and work with internal and external auditors.
  • Expenditure Management: Approve expenditures and invoices within established company guidelines.
  • General Ledger Management: Work with department managers to ensure consistent application of general ledger accounting and cost coding.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in financial leadership, with strong knowledge of GAAP, cash flows, financial reports, and annual reports.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to organize and manage long-term projects.
