Role Overview:
As an Aerospace Structural Repair Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft and components. You will develop structural repairs based on engineering principles, adhering to OEM, FAA, and airline guidelines. By collaborating with mechanics, manufacturers, and stakeholders, you will help restore aircraft to service efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural repairs using engineering principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with mechanics to create solutions that meet regulatory standards and expedite aircraft return to service.
- Engage with manufacturers and design centers to develop repair strategies.
- Provide substantiation for repair engineering solutions.
- Produce technical drawings and repair plans using CAD software.
- Interpret aircraft manuals and design documents for repair compliance.
- Ensure compliance with FAA and international airworthiness regulations.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of aerospace experience (or 8 years of equivalent aircraft repair experience).
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of structural repair manuals and airworthiness regulations (FAA, EASA).
- Ability to conduct basic stress analysis and develop creative repair solutions.
- Strong PC skills, including MS Office, MyBoeingFleet, and AirbusWorld.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Compensation and Benefits:
